📋 Final Forms Reminder for 2026–2027
Parents, please complete your student’s Final Forms for the 2026–2027 school year as soon as possible.
If you have a student starting Kindergarten or are new to Danbury Elementary, please make sure the transportation section is completed accurately. We hope to have new bus routes finalized by mid August.

If you have a returning student and there are any changes to transportation, emergency contacts, medical information, or other important details, please update those sections in Final Forms as well.

Thank you for helping us prepare for a smooth start to the new school year!

🚌Transportation:
All bus routes and bus stops will remain the same for the 2026–2027 school year.
Students are expected to be picked up and dropped off at the bus stop closest to their home residence. The exception is for our open-enrolled students, who will continue to be picked up and dropped off at the Bassett's Market parking lot.
If your child has a regular caregiver or babysitter, we can accommodate an alternate pick-up/drop-off location, provided it is within the Danbury Local School District boundaries. We ask that this location remain the same each day to help ensure safe and efficient transportation.

🚗Afternoon Car Pick-Up Tags:
If you still have your car pick-up tags from last school year, you may continue to use them this year. If you need additional tags or have misplaced yours, please stop by the Elementary Office during Open House.

🌄Before School Morning Care:
Morning Care is available for all Pre-K through 5th grade students from 6:45–8:45 AM each school day. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please stop by the Elementary Office during Open House for registration information and details.

💰School Fees:
The 2026–2027 school fee is $45 per student. Fees may be paid by cash or check in the Elementary Office or by credit card online through PaySchools.

📒School Supplies:
The 2026–27 school supply lists were mailed home with grade cards in June and are also available on our website. We have received several generous donations of school supplies. If your child is in need of any specific supplies, please reach out to the Elementary Office—we may be able to help!

Laker Families – Free Meals for All Students AGAIN This Year!
EVERY student in our district will enjoy:
  • 1 FREE breakfast each school day
  • 1 FREE lunch each school day
  • No fees. No qualifications. Just healthy meals for every child!
  • This amazing benefit is made possible through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)—and it’s approved one year at a time. That means we must re-qualify every single year to keep it going.
  • Please note: There will be no charging on accounts again this year for any extra meals or snacks. Students must have money on their account or pay cash at the time of purchase. Any student that has a negative balance will not be able to purchase any extras until the negative balance is paid (check out PaySchools for online payment or pay cash or check to your building secretary.)
How can you help us keep this benefit for our kids?
  • ALL families are asked to fill out the Income Verification Form and provided to Dawn Hansen, Food Services Director, even though meals are free this year. The form can also be found in FinalForms, linked on our webpage (https://www.danburyschools.org/frmeals look for the “Download/Print a Household Information Survey” link) and will be available in the Cafeteria during Open House on Aug. 25 @ 5-7pm.
  • Information provided on the form will remain confidential.
Take a few minutes to complete the form—your small action has a BIG impact!
