DANBURY LAKERS FANS, LET'S BRING HOME THE WIN!
It’s time for the Drive to Victory! Help Danbury Local Schools compete for a $500 scholarship through the Goodwill Drive to Victory!
A Goodwill donation trailer will be located in the Norton Center parking lot near the baseball field for easy drop-off.
- Monday, October 12 – Thursday, October 15
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Norton Center Parking Lot – Near the Baseball Field
How can you help?
Bring your gently used donations to the trailer during the drive. Every donation helps move Danbury Local Schools closer to victory and a chance to win the $500 scholarship!
Need Help Getting Your Donations to the Trailer?
If you have donations in your classroom or vehicle and need assistance getting them to the donation trailer, please email Mr. Lauber (laubert@danburyschools.org). We can set up a time for Danbury Key Club members to come help you unload and transport your donations.
Let's work together as a school community and help Danbury bring home the win!
Presented by the Danbury Key Club
Thank you for supporting our students and Danbury Local Schools!
GO LAKERS!

Dear Laker families,
In September, our students and staff participated in an evacuation drill as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, prepared school environment. Just as we regularly practice fire and severe weather drills, it is important that we also practice how to safely and efficiently leave the building should an emergency ever require us to do so.
To help ensure our families have important information to reference in the event of an emergency, we are sharing our 2026–2027 DLSD Safety and Reunification Plan linked HERE (also lives permanently in our helpful links at the bottom of the newsletter). The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority, and we will continue to review our procedures, assess potential risks, and make adjustments as needed to support a safe school environment.
Thank you for your partnership in helping us keep our Lakers safe, prepared, and supported.

A few simple habits can help keep your family safe online:
-
Pause before clicking. Be cautious with unexpected links, attachments, and messages—even when they appear to come from someone you know.
-
Protect your accounts. Use a different password for each account and turn on two-step verification when available. Never share verification codes.
-
Keep devices updated. Install updates on phones, computers, and tablets.
-
Talk with your children. Remind them to protect personal information and tell a trusted adult if something online seems suspicious or makes them uncomfortable.
If a message claiming to be from the school seems unusual, contact us through a familiar phone number or email address to verify it.
