It’s hard to believe we’ve already turned the calendar to November! With a new month comes a new opportunity to focus on one of our district’s core values: Leadership.
At Danbury, leadership is about more than having a title or being in charge. It’s about the everyday choices we make — setting a positive example, encouraging others, modeling kindness, and doing what’s right, even when it isn’t always the easiest choice. We look forward to recognizing the many ways our Lakers demonstrate leadership in our classrooms, homes, and community.
We are also continuing our Sources of Strength initiative, which encourages students to recognize the positive people, relationships, and resources they can turn to for support, resilience, and overall well-being. This month, we are highlighting Family Support — recognizing the important role parents, grandparents, siblings, relatives, and other trusted family members play in helping children feel valued, encouraged, and supported.
As we move through November, we encourage families to keep the conversations going, take time to connect, and remind your children that they have people in their corner who believe in them.
Together, we can lead by example, strengthen our connections, and continue building a community where every Laker feels supported and encouraged to succeed!
